Aegis was engaged to evaluate schedule impacts on the $116 million U.S. Army Medical Research Institute of Infectious Diseases (USAMRIID) facility, which included advanced BSL-3 and BSL-4 biocontainment laboratories, animal research areas, and administrative and operational spaces. During commissioning, the project encountered significant challenges, including extensive design issues and a catastrophic fire that resulted in years of additional repair work and claims valued at approximately $2 million and 502 calendar days.

To assess the causes and extent of the delays, Aegis conducted a comprehensive forensic schedule analysis that included reviewing extensive project documentation, correspondence, and thousands of contemporaneously recorded project events. The resulting analysis quantified critical path impacts and documented the effects of the project's disruptions, helping the parties reach a negotiated resolution that included both additional time and compensation while avoiding further dispute.

Aegis was engaged to evaluate schedule impacts on the $33.4 million expansion and renovation of the Edward Hines Jr. Veterans Affairs Hospital in Hines, Illinois. Design issues associated with the North Tower façade extended the project's duration by approximately 850 calendar days and contributed to claims valued at roughly $2.4 million. Through a forensic schedule analysis and detailed assessment of project records, Aegis quantified the causes and effects of the delays and documented the associated financial impacts. The findings played a significant role in the parties' negotiations and contributed to a settlement reached in early 2022.

Aegis served as an independent project controls advisor on a $250 million specialty manufacturing facility designed to produce nitrocellulose. The project experienced extensive design revisions and specification changes that significantly extended the design phase and ultimately led to claims valued at approximately $350 million. To evaluate the impacts, Aegis conducted a detailed forensic schedule analysis, including the development of a day-by-day as-built schedule to measure the effects of the evolving design. The engagement culminated in a comprehensive expert report, and Aegis continues to support counsel and project stakeholders in the resolution of the dispute.
